The venerable breeder William Cook developed Jubilee Orpingtons to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Thanks to those patriotic beginnings the gorgeous Jubilee was quite popular for a time. Later, its popularity began to fade and eventually, very few breeders around the world were producing Jubilees true to type.
Our Jubilees are heavy birds, with the docile demeanor for which all Orpingtons are known. The color pattern of a properly bred Jubilee is complicated, with the shaft of the feather being a dark brown, mahogany color, with a black band, then a bright white tip. Each of the colors on our birds are distinct and clear.
Orpingtons are a wonderful, multi-purpose breed. Jubilee Orpingtons are beautiful, as well. We will soon have chicks for sale. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about our flock.
